My only real home :)

Last night I got pulled over for the first time ever. I was speeding, didn’t have my lights on, was driving without my license on me and at a restricted level, with two grams of cocaine in my pocket… And got off with nothing more than a reminder to keep my lights on, always have my paperwork and pull over right away next time. Can we say “luckiest person ever”?
So, the guy who works nights at the conveniiiient store near my huose, he’s pretty cool shit. I like talking to him a lot. There are on/;y a couple of oproblems. I’m usually drunk when I’m over there, and his accent is very thick. So I don’t always know what he’s saying. I wish I could remember his name. Anyway, he’s really perceptive. Tonight he totally knew that I’d had a rough day. He asked if I’d had a hard day and I said no, but he said he knew better, that something was really bothering me. I told him it was nothing serious, that I’d go home to sleep and wake up feeling better. It’s funny how that works though. How someone who only knows you within certain social parameters can detect such subtle changes in your presentation, body language, verbal ques or even gait and can figure out that something significant has occurred. Fascinating. This is the man who charges me for my soda every couple of days, and he knows that something significant has happened in my life, within ten seconds of being in his presence. Amazing.

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!
